can you take lortab after lap band surgery?

I have 4 bulging discs in my back and I have been taking Lortab 10 for about 3yrs, I am going to have the lapband surgery and was wondering if anyone else had this problem and will I have problems taking them. They are time release and cannot be crushed. I am hoping that when I loose some weight I can get off some of the meds. Please advise!

    I don't know about the pills, but I'm pretty sure that you can get it in liquid form. Although, it probably wouldn't be time release. I have never had any problem taking standard sized pills, but I know some people do. It would be best to talk to both your surgeon and your back doctor and see what they say. I'm sure they will be able to get you what you need.

    My surgeon prescribed liquid lortab after my surgery, so yes.
