So, I was banded February 25,2010. I knew wanted to be a success story. 10 months later and I'm sixty eight pounds lighter. My first goal was to be at 199. I met my goal without realizing it. I am now at 193. I am 32 pounds from my final goal. I remember feeling like, "If I can just make it out of the 200's". Now I'm like, " I want out of the high 100's". Weird isn't it? Shouldn't I be satified? I have not been this small since I got married back in 1997, but it's like the more I lose, the more I want to lose.I want to lose 100% of my goal weight by February. My family thinks I should stop and should be happy right were I am. I am happy and I also am back to thinking about my weight too often. What is with that?

I have the same issues. I want to be "normal weight". Not overweight anymore. I have gone from Morbidly Obese to Overweight. I have roughly 10 lbs to be "normal". I didn't do this to get a little bit healthier. I did this to go all the way. Don't worry about everyone's opinions. You go until you are satisfied. There is nothing weird w/ having a goal. I have people tell me all the time "enough is enough"!!! I will determine what is enough for me.

Its Not an issue(its a goal),when you were at the weight where you werebefore the band the first thing we think about is hitting a goal,so when you start off small then you go big to see if you can get there, think about it like this(starting out with a 19 inch TV,and once you see what the 32 inch we want that, but after a whine it not big enough then you go for the 47 or the 55 inch, its like a little won't do why waste you time on the small stuff when you can go for the "gusto",the same with weight lost,if you make small goals then you reach them, why stop at just 10lbs when you can go for 20 or 30-once you reach your goal go for the next one,.......I'm sorry No one knows your body like you know your body, you will know when you have gone too far.......I say go for It,,,thats what I'm gonna do because if you feel its enough then its enough....Just take 1 day at a time,....good luck my friends........camille01

Hello, I have lost 55 lbs since March when I was banded, at consult I weighed 246 day of surgery 239 and now 191. People say I have lost enough but I am still to close to the 200's and my goal is 165..I may feel different when the scale reads 175 I don't know cause have not seen that number since the 7th grade so with that being said I would definetly keep going if I were you. Hope this helps sn: it is getting harder to reach my goal but I will keep pushing through.
