WHAT did I just do?

Day 6 post op and I am feeling like I am never going to be able to eat again. I have to be on a full liquid diet until the 30th and I am starting to struggle. I know there is no way I am eating enough and when I try things like yogurt or pudding I get full real fast. I try my best to drink alot of water but that makes me full. I walk all the time as that has been easy for me...I just wish I could eat!!! uggggg

It will get much easier. Since you are not able to eat a lot without getting full, try some Isopure water. There are 40grams of protein in a bottle. You can buy them at any GNC. Good luck and trust me, it is worth anything you have to go through now to feel and look so much better later.

I think I used the same phrase at the same time after my surgery. Your stomach is healing; but it is swollen and there was a lot of pushing and pulling in there to get the band and port in. It takes a couple days. Protein shots, isopure (like Bklyn said), slim fast will help you get protein. There are some good clear broths -- chicken, vegetable -- out there. Small sips frequently and walk as much as you are able.

Rest. Hugs!!!!!

I don't have anything more or better than Bklynike or sandra, but just know that what you are feeling is very normal. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't make it any less FRUSTRATING!! But know that we are all here for you and just keep up with your aftercare and it will get better. In my opinion, this is the worst part! You WILL make it!
