EGD today - now the wait begins!

I had my EGD, which is required by my surgeon, done this morning and it was a piece of cake. I was super worried about my gag reflex, but I did not even get close to knowing the scope was near my mouth LOL! Thank goodness for good meds! LOL! Apparently, I have a pretty "impressive" hiatal hernia that will be repaired as well. Had no idea!

Now I am just waiting on my PCP to submit my 5 year weight history so everything can be submitting to insurance. Hopefully that will not take too long and I can get approval and get a surgery date!

LAP-BAND Patients

I wish you the best of luck, an early surgery date and a great Lap-Band future. Remember, the band is only a tool, so make sure you are up for it. And, once you have the surgery you must do a lot of walking to get rid of the gas you will feel in your upper shoulder and neck.
