4 Days banded...it's gonna be a good day!

Well it is my fourth day with the band and I feel a lot better. I still have a little pain now and then in my shoulder and arm, but not nearly as much as yesterday. It seems my headache has gone away and tomorrow I can start protien shakes, so hopefully will have more energy.

My only problem right now is the night sweats. I wake up in the middle of the night drenched and freezing. Is this normal??

I am so excited for my new beginning:)

Talk to your doctor about the night sweats usually that is hormonal or menopausal it should not have anything to do with the band. Though I noticed I would get hot or a little sweaty within half hour of taking the pain meds. Maybe it is an issue with that. My recovery was a little slower I think than most on this site because the compression boots they put on my legs made my legs hurt for days and they were so sore it hurt to walk. In addition to the gas and feeling of wanting to belch but couldn't even with the gasX pills. I also had to sleep sitting up for about five days and it was broken sleep at best but I would get up and walk in the middle of the night to make sure I was getting the walking in. Congrats on your band keep us posted.

Thanks I thought it might be the pain meds because I only take it at night and that is when it seems to happen. I wasn't going to take it tonight, but I have such a sinus headache...maybe I'll just dip my head in Vic's or use my neti pot.

It sounds like you had a rough recovery. I hope things are going better for you. How long have you been banded and are you finding success?
