tell me this is going to pass

I had surgery this morning and the pain is just getting worse and worse. I was up and walking around and then came the gas..when I finally vomitted air up, now Im so sore all over my body. Ive had a heating pad on my back all day. the pains meds wont stay down...is there any relief! Im losing hope

I had my surgery on 06/15 and had the same thoughts as you...pain pain pain...I started feeling better yesterday. Hang in there it gets easier.

heating pad, liquid tylenol, rest. Yes it does get much, much better.

Day 1 and 2 are the most difficult days for sure. Ice pack on the port incision, heating pad on the back and try to relax. It will get better, I promise. As much as it hurts, try to walk a lot as well. Are you on liquid pain meds?? Try sipping it over a 5 minute period.
