LAP-BAND Patients

Does anyone wonder about the life of the band once it is implanted? Does it have to be replaced after so many years even if it is not causing problems? Would love to hear your thoughts. thanks

    What I was told was that the band is made from materials already used in implated devices. My understanding is that barring complications, they should last as long as you do.

    I hope that is the case! I don't have any research or info to back it up.
