Help with a surgeon

I seeking a qualified, reputable surgeon to perform my lapband surgery. I am a 37 year old woman, 5'4 and 200 pounds. I am 24 pounds short of the necessary weight for surgery. My weight effects my every waking moment, to the point where I do not want to leave my house. I am tired, sluggish and uncomfortable moving around. If anyone could help with a referral I would greatly appreciate it. I'm located in NYC but am willing to travel within the states. Dont know how far you are willing to travel. I have an excellent Surgeon in Indiana. Some dont think he has the best bedside manner but it is because he is honest and to the point and he definately knows what he is doing. I wouldnt go any where else. Almost a year banded!!

My family has been thrilled with Dr. Michael Snyder in Denver. He did a band for my mother-in-law, a gastric sleeve for my FIL, is about to do a band for me and one for my husband. His statistics/results are fantastic, and he's very kind and supportive. I'm similar to you - 36 years old, 200 lbs at 5'6", and really sick of watching my life slowly close in because of my weight. I'm paying out-of-pocket for the surgery, $9,600 flat fee. Hope this helps.

I am going to be banded on April 26 by Dr Alan Geiss 221 Jericho Turnpike Syosset, NY 11791. He has a meeting for people interested in being banded. You could attend and meet him and his staff. I actually gained a few pounds to make the insurance companys requirements. Good luck to you.
