Its been 4 weeks since my lapband surgery!

:scared2:I feel great but I don't know what to expect at my first follow up appointment with the surgeon next week. I know I have lost at least 10 pounds but my eating habits are almost exactly as they were before the LAP-BAND®. I get full on less food but I don't follow the suggested diet (protein/veggies). I have never been a meat and veggies eater so its hard to get into that habit. I hate the protein shakes so its hard to suppliment the protein with those. I need some suggestions. Also how am I going to feel after I get a fill? Will I get full on even less or what? Please let me know  Thanks all you Bandsters!

Congratulation!!! You won't feel any different but you will fill up faster. You really do need to try very hard to find something with lots of protein in it because hair lose is the results of not enough protein. I have been banded for 14 months now and learned that the hard way. I have found the Kellogg breakfast bar go down and have lots of protein. It really takes time to change your eating habits. My daughter and I are banded and she has lost 115 lbs and I have lost 57 lbs. Trust me it works.

Have you tried Isopure? It is a drink found at CVS or GNC and it tastes good. Not a shake. I get the Grape Frost a little sweet but good. It has 15g protein in 8 0z fluid. Or have you tried any of the protein powders that you add to your yogurts, etc.? They are good too. I was banded on Feb 8th and I too am having a hard time getting the right amount of protein and fluid in to my body. I wish you the best of luck. I dont know what to say about the fill as I have not had one yet either! Let me know. Good luck.
