The Morning After

Good morning! It is 3am and I'm wide awake at home dealing with 3 barfing boys and my banding was yesterday morning. I've never wash my hands this much in my life -the doc says it is highly contagious.

I'm sore but nothing that 10cc of loritab can't fix. I have a question. When I went into surgery yesterday morning I weighed 178 pounds and I came out at 185?? Is it just the fluid they pumped into me? If some of you have experience with starting in Onderland banders I'd appreciate hearing about your early days. Thanks much,

I wasn't in Onederland, but was a lower BMIer and I came out 10 lbs. heavier...it's the IV fluids and all the swelling (I looked pregnant). BTW, get a Rx for nausea if you don't have one...vomiting on a new band would be bad (and I've used my little pills twice since banding...don't want to be calling the doc in the middle of the night!). Totally normal. LOTS of gas, fluids, etc. I hope you don't get the pukes. Hurry to the pharmacy for anti-naseau pills!
