I can identify with not seeing myself as my true size. I NEVER thought I was as big as I was until lately when I have tried on old clothes that I would STILL be small or tight. Or even worse, is looking at the seat of my pants and thinking HOLY HELL! I FIT IN THOSE??? THEY ARE BIG ENOUGH FOR AN ELEPHANT! ...and in reality they were tight on me then. hahaha

I also knew I was fat, but like you, I didn't think I was as fat as I was. Maybe its a a coping mechanism you do so you don't loath yourself anymore than you already do? At least for me, I think so.

Wow, talk about hitting home! I've had a few of those moments myself. Right now I'm in the process of getting rid of some of the things that used to be too small and are now too big. However, I'm keeping one pair to be my before pants.
