A third of the way there!

I should have had my date 2 days ago but my cardiologist left something off of his release. Hopefully that will be cleared up by next week.

This morning the scale said 300. Not only do I love round numbers but that means even without the band I have lost 1/3 of the 195 pounds I had to lose.

Last week I was having second thoughts but I am gung ho to get my band now and it better keep me from ever seeing 300 again. I am figuring I will be 285-290 by the time I get it and around 265 for my first fill.

Congrats! I really don't think you will regret the decision. I went for a fill yesterday, so I had a lot of time to "think" on the 2 hour drive up and 2 hours back. I came to the conclusion that this was definitely the right choice for me. I'm not losing weight terribly fast, but I am consistently losing - which is something I haven't been able to do in a very long time.

I ate a bunch of crap over the holidays, but with the help of the band, I still lost 4 pounds. In the past, I would have eaten much larger quantities of the crap, gained 10 lbs, then justified it to myself because it's "only once a year". Well guess what? The 10 lbs once a year surely does add up when you're not taking it right back off.

Good luck to you!

I do not regret my decision one bit! I was banded May 21, 2009 and I only have a couple more pounds before I will have lost 100lbs. My life has completely changed and I am the better for it. Just remember that you must be ready in the head for the band, do what your doctor says, go slow, chew and exercise!

I really think you are making the right decision, because it will change your life for the better.

Stay focused and that date will come.

I ended up getting my band a month earlier. It was and is way better than I ever thought it would be. I am very happy with the way I am working with my band. It is a nice tool and the best one I have ever used for weight loss. Best wishes on your journey. imaluckydog
