Monday is the big day

Hi all~

I am new to the site but happy to be here to read what everyone else is experiencing. I am both excited and nervous that I will be banded on Monday, but I am not really looking forward to the liquid diet ALL day tomorrow! Especially, since surgery isn't scheduled until 11am Monday. Oh well, such is life!

Good Luck you will be fine. Just stay focused on what you have to do before Monday as it will be here before you know it. I was also banded on a Monday. I have never had a case of the "Mundaies" like in Office space ever again. Take time to heal and follow the rules. I have been banded now for 5 months and I always think about that special day a rebirth if you will. I ended up going early a month early and taking someone else's spot that could not keep their appointment. It was the BEST Monday of my life. I only had to do liquid for one day and I did not get my band until 6 PM That Monday night! Yes, it was a very long day and I could not eat anything. Then it was like I was full everyday there after. I have had 3 fills now and I am still full. Best wishes and keep us posted all will go well. imaluckydog

wishing you all the best! I had my surgery 7 weeks ago, and this site has helped me get through it all! Congratulations on making this change for yourself!

Well, I am 4 days post surgery and feel great! The only issue I have is my IV was on the top of my hand. The day after surgery it started swelling and hurting. Now my entire arm is swollen. I went back to the doctor yesterday and I am on antibiotics. :-(

Other than that, I am feeling great. Thanks for the well wishes!
