3rd day of Post Op.

Hello new friends and supporters!! Thanks for the comments, I appreciate all the information I can get. I feel better today, my neck and back still hurt and my incision is sore, but not too bad. I had my first shower since surgery today, It felt great to wash my hair, though it was a quick shower because I started to feel a little light headed. I sleep on my belly and on my side, so sleeping on my back all night is not very comfy, but I am not complaining. I don't feel like I was very prepared for after surgery aches and pains, I put some much time preparing for an all liquid diet that I didn't think much of the recovering part, my mistake. I have a very supportive husband and he has made all the difference. I don't have small children to cook for and my husband is fixing his own meals so that is something I don't have to deal with. I am still not too hungry and am happy with the broth, jello and water... I will have to let you know if I feel the same way my second week into the liquid diet. Thanks again for the suggestions and comments, it makes it a much easier process when you have people who understand what I am going through. Thank you and good luck to all of you!!

I am day three post op too. I think we have talked on another blog, but I totally understand what you are saying. Today i felt really weak. I don't think I was getting enough protein in or something. Tomorrow I am going to try a different tactic with all the liquids, broths etc. Keep in touch. talk to you soon. Leslie

Hello post op friends, I am on day 3 today and feel worse today then I did yesterday is this common? I am up moving around and doing things but feel just awful. I am doing fine on about 16 oz a day over 3 meals (yogurt, protein drink, jello and soups as a variety) I am trying to drink all the water I need to but I think that it is the gas in my stomach that hurts so bad. Any suggestions on relief?
