Middle GA Lap Band Newbie

So this is my first attempt at a blog. I am new to all of this.

I just had my LAP-BAND® surgery on October 7th from Dr. Larry Hobson at Atlanta Medical Center.

Since there are no support groups that I can find in the middle GA area, I thought this might be a great way to connect with others.

It has been 5 days now. I am starting to feel some hunger pains. Nothing that I can't handle yet. I am wondering if I made the right choice, as I read through all the material available on the internet, it is kind of scary to think of what I have permanently done to my body. I keep telling myself that it is for the best. I guess it's kind of like buyers remorse.

It would be great if anyone else from the middle GA area is on the website too. Maybe we could get a support group organized locally.

I look forward to chatting with anyone who is going through the same thing.

I had some of that too. I am three weeks post op and feel great now. After reading through tons of these blogs, I think the key is to stay positive. Now that we have a wonderful tool to help us, we can do what we have been unsucessful at in the past. I am excited now and ready for a totally new and thinner life...
