Well the first few days after surgery really wasnt so bad for me. I was in pain but its not as bad as having a c-section..lol..they had me on the liquid shake but really didnt have much of an appetite.. my weight loss hasnt been so drastic for me like the others on here. Alot of people lost like 10-15 lbs the first week after surgery, but I only lost about 5 lbs.. my doctor said its harder for me to lose the weight because of my diabetes and the insulin Im on. If you have any more questions.. you are more then welcome to leave me a message.. take care.. it'll be ok..trust me Im pretty sure all of us had the same thought to

I was banded Sept. 18th and had lost 10 pounds leading up to surgery on my liquid diet and then lost 5 pounds right after. I'd gained a few of those back but have now lost them again. I haven't had my first fill yet so I'm still able to eat pretty much anything, but am trying to limit myself as much as possible. I'm looking forward to my fill in 3 weeks so I can actually start seeing some "real" results. You will be sore for a few days after surgery but I was back to work that Monday (surgery was that past Friday). Just take it easy and you should be fine. Good luck to you!

I have not had one choking incident .. I think if you stick to the prescribed plan, you will be fine , PLUS think about how great you will look one year from now ..Think about how much healthier you will be . I was banded Oct15-- and 3 weeks later I am down 18#. Sure it is uncomfortab le the 1st couple of days - but that passes and your new life takes over ................
