I have been banded for 17 weeks now. I have lost 65lbs. I am happy with my decision.

The best advise I can give you is this....

You MUST be ready for this change in your head and heart. The band is a tool to be used, not a miracle worker. You will hear this theme over and over in this forum but it's the honest truth!

I went through a range of emotions. I have only gotten stuck once, which was not fun.

I also exercise five days a week and make that a priority in my life. I schedule it like I do any other appointment and don't take it for granted!

Do your research, journal a lot and take it day by day

I was banded on Monday 09/14/09 and I am new at this. It is different , but I know it will get better when I can have solid foods and exericise I am only walking a liitle at a time now, before I get tired, but it is getting better.

I am glad that I did it and I know there are only good things to come from it.

I can not eat the way I used too. I do miss PIGGING OUT. But I eat a little to be little today. It is easy, I listen to my body and stop when I get the "Oh you are almost full feeling" I was banded on June 29 I have had two fills and I have some really GOOD restriction I must say. I just can not eat the way I use to. Oh yes I miss it. I do not miss the 50 pounds I have lost and I know I have lost more but will not find out how much until I weigh in on Oct 5 for my 3 fill. This is the best tool I have ever had and I feel GREAT I love what the people have to say on these pages and it is very supportive and friendly. I love playing with my band. Best wishes to you. imaluckydog Kathy
