Learning So Much

Despite having read all the information on the Lap Band websites, I learn something new everyday about the procedure and the results by browsing the forums here.

I have just started the process to get banded. I have an appointment on Thursday (day after tomorrow) for the initial endoscopy. I'm excited about getting the procedure because despite all the discomfort, I know it will be a new start of a life without all this extra weight.

It will be nice to be able to find clothes I like and wear things that make me feel good, but even more than that I'm looking forward to being able to be more active again without my knees and feet hurting. I'm looking forward to having more energy, more stamina, and being 'normal.' I'm looking forward to fitting again into chairs with arms, airplane seats, and tiny bathroom stalls.

I know you know what I mean.
