I'm a "southern belle" and love my grits but my doctor told me that I wouldn't be able to eat them after surgery. Has anyone tried them?

I eat super thick oatmeal every morning so I don't know why grits would be any different? Maybe as you get really tight, but you can always thin them down. -BG

I dont have any problem with grits...but I rarely eat them because they are a big favorite for me and not too good, the way we make them, nutritionally. OK, Now I really want grits!!!

I think I'm gonna give them a try. Hopefully I won't get sick! Thanks for the response.

I can eat them, but I choose not to. I'm staying away from anything with too many carbs. When I did have some, I found that a very small (I mean very small) amount filled me up
