I am starving! or maybe not it all feels the same...

Sometimes I feel like I am starving but I think it might just be cravings. I am 12 days post op and I usually feel neither full nor hungry just right in between. However, when I go to dinner with someone eating yummy foods I start to feel like I am starving for whatever they are eating. Even when I am full (or at least I think I am) I still feel hungry for what they are eating. Is this normal? I think it is all in my head. Bad habits trying to surface. The hardest part is I am not sure what being full feels like since I am still on liquids. Is it easier to tell when you are full when you start eating solid food? The good news is I have lost 20 pounds since starting my pre op diet. So I guess it is working like it should be. Only 9 more days until I get to eat solids! Yay!

yes its very normal to think that you want to eat what they are eating ... When you get to eat solid foods be very careful and chew chew chew. I am sure that we all get sick of hearing that but its really true. Congrats on your weight loss of 20 lbs. And yes you will know when you are full, perhaps not until after your first fill, at least for me it was that way. I could eat alot of things before I had my first fill, then I felt the restriction and did get stuck 4 times. each day is a new learning experience. What you could eat yesterday you may not be able to eat tomorrow. It is frustrating at times when you could eat chicken and the next day its a no go, or perhaps broccoli ... its odd on what you can eat one day and not the next. I wish you the best of luck on your journey.
