Hi All: This is my third week enjoying the blessing of finding not only a heated swimming pool, but a hot tub as well. God is good! In Rome, Georgia, they have a YMCA with just what I need. My health insurance provider told me about it, and it's great that I'm covered to participate at eligible fitness locations free of charge. Hooray for the wonderful SilverSneakers program!
Hi All: I moved from Indiana to beautiful Northwest Georgia in August 2013. I'm doing OK, but would be much better if I hadn't started "grazing" in November and December 2013. I researched information about grazing which is a form of "binging" & it's a serious eating disorder. I did some serious reading in my textbook "Emotional First Aid," which brought me back on track from my eating frenzy. Now that I've reached 60+ days post-op, I'm allowed Stage 5: 4 oz. Regular Diet. I had trouble eating previously because I was trying to eat regular foods. My stomach pouch won't tolerate fried foods (like bacon or chicken), rice, beef stroganoff, or baked chicken breast (too dry).
