I'm sorry, I have to leave. There's a lot of great info on this site to learn, but it's just so dull and depressing after the change to the site. There's broken codes showing all over the place, many pictures don't show and tickers also show as broken codes.   Good luck and high hopes that everything goes well to all that has surgery! May your life be better and healthy! :-)
Yesterday I learned that my insurance approved my surgery. Now today, I got my surgery date.   Oct. 16, 2013 I start a liquid diet for 4 weeks. Don't think I'm looking forward to that.   Nov. 12, 2013 Is my surgery date and have to be at the hospital at 5:00am. Which means I'll have to get up around 3:00am to get ready and get there by 5:00am. *who the hell gets up that early???* LOL   I'm ready to get it all behind me now! :-)
Call from doctors office saying all files on me has now been placed on surgeons desk. Now I just wait for a phone call giving me a surgery date. Also told me when the call comes in, I have to do a three week liquid diet before surgery. Don't think I'm going to enjoy that very much. Oh well, got to do what I have to do...
Done my first ever 5K Run/Walk today in Johns Creek, GA. Rained the whole time and the temp was pretty cool. But it was a lot of fun and I didn't even think on the wet and cool weather. Think it was better than if it had been one of the 100 degree days we sometimes get. Also had a friend in the 5K that had gastric bypass surgery just 2-3 days ago and she also finished. She did real well through the whole 5K. Kinda look forward to doing another one sometime, maybe soon. :-)
About me and where I'm at in my journey to getting healthy...   My Story… Born and grew up in NC. Now living in GA. I used to be a long haul truck driver seeing the USA through the windshield until a wreak that screwed up my left knee and back which put a stop to that job in 1992 making me walk with a cane today. After that, I had a life of not working and spending a lot of time on my rear end doing not much of anything but letting my body go to waste. But who sees that coming when one has not
