i won my appeal ,, the independent medical review was a success,,,the vote was 2-1 in my favor and i got my sleeve 5/28/10 exactly 4 weeks ago today,,, i had a very easy time of it,,,i was amazed at how easy a time it was,,, i am doing great,,, my only concern is i am afraid that my sleeve is a little bigger than most as i can eat more than most people say they can eat,,,, i am hoping that while this may make my loss slow, i hope to still lose the weigth i need to lose,,,, jeani:thumbup1::scar

Help Center -Department of Managed Care This I my appeal letter to ask that you reconsider and approve the Sleeve Gastrectomy Weight Loss Surgery that was denied by Anthem Blue Cross because they consider the procedure investigational. yes i was jeaniwantsasleeve and then 5/28/10 i got one,,, was denied and got an IMR and won my appeal,,,am now 3 weeks post op and couldn't be happier,,,i am a fantasy lover and have often been called jeani in a bottle so i thought sleevegenie would be a good new name for me---i am so thankful for this opportunity to improve every aspect of my life,,, the support and knowledge from here and OH has been invaluable to me and i appreciate all of you who have supported me on my journey,,, surgery wa

hey guys, i am so dissapointed, i probably shouldn't be i guess i kind of ecpected the denial but i guess in the back of my mind i was hoping it would be approved. The letter says this is not a denial of service, so i take that to mean i do qualify for WLS just not the sleeve because they consider it investigational. Several people on this site have shown that some companies are now approving this so i'm hoping to win this by appeal. my letter is all ready to go, Tuesday i will fax it over t
