LAPBAND JOURNEY - DAY 7 OF 2 WK.PRE OP DIET

JAN. 9, 2011 - SUNDAY - DAY 7 OF 2 WK. PRE OP DIET. - WELL - WHEN I GOT UP THIS AM, I ACTUALLY FELT LIKE I HAD LOST SOME MORE WEIGHT! I WEIGHED MYSELF AND THE NEEDLE HAD MOVED JUST A LIL BIT! YEH - ME! EVERY LIL LB. LOST - COUNTS! HAD MY HOT DECAF TEA WITH SPLENDA AND A PROTEIN BAR FOR BREAKFAST. NOT TOO BAD. I GUESS I'M GETTING USED TO IT. OH MY - I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD HEAR MYSELF SAY THAT!!! TOOK MY GRANDSON SLED RIDING TODAY. IT WAS SO FUN. I HAVEN'T DONE THAT IN YEARS!!!! HE REALLY ENJOYED IT TOO. I GOT LOTS OF EXERCISE AS I PULLED HIM ON THE SLED! LOL I DIDN'T EVEN FEEL COLD MUCH! JUST MY NOSE - HA HA. HAD MY PROTEIN SHAKE FOR LUNCH. NOW JUST 2 MORE PROTEIN SHAKES TO GO TODAY AND I AM DONE! YEH!!! GONNA HAVE A SMALL SUGAR FREE JELLO AND A SUGAR FREE POPSICLE TODAY TOO AND THAT WILL BE IT FOR THE DAY. I SLEPT GOOD LAST NIGHT TOO! I AM STILL HAVING ACID REFLUX IN MY THROAT THOUGH. THAT STINKS! I STOPPED TAKING HE MEDICATION FOR IT SINCE I STARTED THIS PRE OP DIET SINCE I WAS HARDLY EATING ANYTHING. I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD NEED THE MEDS. BUT I STILL HAVE THE ACID REFLUX IN MY THROAT. IT IS VERY ANNOYING. I AM SCHEDULED FOR AN EGD NEXT TUESDAY. HOPE THEY DON'T FIND AN ULCER. I WANT MY BAND SURGERY TO GO AS SCHEDULED ON 1/17 WHICH IS ONLY 1 WK. AWAY NOW! SO I GOT THROUGH MY 1ST WK. OF PRE OP DIET. YEH ME! I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD MAKE IT AND I DID! SMALL MIRACLES!!!!

LAPBAND JOURNEY - DAY 6 OF PRE OP DIET

JAN. 8, 2011 - SATURDAY - DAY 6 OF 2 WK. PRE OP DIET. I HAVE BEEN SO GROUCHY TODAY AND HUNGRY!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THIS WEEK OVER WITH. I AM STILL STRUGGLING TO GET THESE BARIATRIC ADVANTAGE PROTEIN SHAKES DOWN. 1 DOWN - 2 MORE TO GO YET FOR TODAY. I ONLY HAD THE 1 PROTEIN BAR TODAY AND I DECIDED I AM NOT GOING TO EAT 2 OF THEM. I DID HAVE 1 SMALL CONTAINER OF SUGAR FREE JELLO AND 1 SUGAR FREE POPSICLE. WOW - THAT WAS THE HIGHLITE OF MY DAY - THOUGHT I DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW " REAL" FOOD WILL TASTE TO ME - WHEN I CAN FINALLY EAT IT!!! TOOK MY GRANDSON TO BURGER KING TODAY SO HE COULD PLAY IN THE GYM AREA. SINCE IT IS SNOWING OUT. IT WAS NICE TO GET OUT. I ENJOYED SITTING AND WATCHING HIM PLAY THERE. BY THE WAY - HE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED HIS FIRST WALK WITH GRANDMA YESTERDAY IN THE SNOW (1ST WALK WITH ME IN OVER 2 YRS.). WE WALKED FOR 15 MIN. WHICH WAS ABOUT 3 BLOCKS AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD. IT WAS FUN. I AM DEBATING WHETHER OR NOT TO TAKE A WALK WITH MY HUSBAND TODAY AS IT IS REALLY COMING DOWN - THE SNOW! I SURE DON'T WANT TO FALL. - BUT IF I DON'T - I WILL FILL LIKE I CHEATED TODAY!! LOL WHY IS IT THAT I FEEL LIKE I AM LOSING WEIGHT AND MY STOMACH KEEPS GURGLING AND TELLING ME IT'S STARVING - YET THE SCALE DOESN'T SEEM TO EVER MOVE???? GEEZ!

LAPBAND JOURNEY - DAY 5 OF PRE OP DIET

JAN. 7, 2011 FRIDAY - DAY 5 OF PRE OP DIET - WELL I GOT UP THIS AM AROUND 7:30 AM AND FOUND THAT IT HAD SNOWED ABOUT 3 INCHES. SO I WENT OUT AND SHOVELED A LIL. HAVEN'T DONE THAT IN MANY MANY YEARS! I THEN MADE A SHOPPING TRIP TO THE GROCERY STORE (ANOTHER THING I DON'T OFTEN DO - MY HUSBAND USUALLY DOES THE SHOPPING). I HAD TO GO BUY SOME LACTOSE FREE MILK FOR MY PROTEIN SHAKES BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN HAVING DIAHREA FOR PAST FEW DAYS AND I SUSPECT I MAY BE LACTOSE INTOLERANT AND WITH HAVING TO DRINK SO MUCH MILK LATELY WITH THE PROTEIN SHAKES - I KINDA FIGURE THAT IS WHAT IS GOING ON. IF NOT THAT - THEN I MUST HAVE PICKED UP A STOMACH VIRUS. GREAT! I HOPE NOT! ANYWAYS - I GOT THE LACTOSE FREE MILK AND MADE MY PROTEIN SHAKE. SO WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS. MY STOMACH IS HURTING KINDA RIGHT NOW - SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. I WONDER IF PERHAPS IT IS FROM PROTEIN OVERLOAD??? MY STOMACH IS NOT USED TO IT?? I GUESS I WILL KNOW SOON ENOUGH - IF I HAVE ANY MORE DIAHREA. I ALSO HAD A CUP OF HOT CAFFEINE FREE TEA. IT SEEMS TO RELAX ME A LITTLE. ONE THING I AM FINDING HARD IT SEEMS - IS SEEING ALL THESE "FOOD" COMMERCIALS ON T.V. - GEEZ - THEY TRY TO SABOTAGE YOUR DIET FOR SURE!!! I FOUND THAT SWITCHING THE TV STATION FOR A COUPLE SECONDS TILL THE COMMERCIAL IS OVER - HELPS! LOL WELL I GOT 2 MORE PROTEIN SHAKES AND 2 PROTEIN BARS TO GET DOWN TODAY YET. - I TRULY HATE THEM ALL!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS NIGHTMEAR OF A 2 WEEK PRE OP DIET IS OVER!!!! AMEN - ON A BRIGHTER NOTE, I AM ANTICIPATING MY 5 YR. OLD GRANDSON, AYDAN COMING TODAY FOR THE WEEKEND. HE WILL BE HERE AT 4 PM. I AM DEFINITELY GONNA TAKE HIM FOR A WALK OUTSIDE IN THE SNOW. THIS IS SOMETHING I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO FOR AT LEAST 2 YRS. MY HUSBAND, HIS STEP GRANDFATHER WAS THE ONE WHO ALWAYS TOOK HIM. I MISSED OUT. DUE TO MY CONDITION OF FIBROMYALGIA - IT IS VERY PAINFUL AND DIFFICULT TO WALK. WELL SINCE I LOST 10 LBS. RECENTLY, AND I AM FEELING A LIL BETTER ABOUT WALKING, I AM DEFINITELY GONNA GO ON THAT WALK WITH THE BOTH OF THEM. YEH!!! CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT MY GRANDSON WILL BE THINKING? WHAT THE HECK - GRANDMA'S FINALLY COMING ON A WALK WITH US????? HA HA - CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

JAN. 6, 2011- THURSDAY - WELL I GOT UP THIS AM NOT WANTING TO DRINK MY CHOCOLATE BARIATRIC ADVANTAGE PROTEIN SHAKE. YUK - I EVEN ADDED A WHOLE SMALL BANANA AND SOME ICE AND PUT IT IN THE BLENDER. STILL YUK! BUT I GOT IT DOWN. OH MAN - I HAVE TO DO 3 OF THESE A DAY PLUS 2 OF THE PROTEIN BARS WHICH ARE JUST AS BAD. I WANT MY LEAN CUISINE 200 CAL DINNERS BACK. THEY WERE SO TASTY AND MUCH MORE SATISFYING. BUT NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE THEM. NEED TO SHRINK THE LIVER FOR THE BAND OPERATION ON 1/17. SO I HAVE TO SUCK IT UP! LOL TOOK 1 WALK TODAY WITH MY HUSBAND OUTSIDE - WALKED 2 BLOCKS AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD. GONNA GO TAKE ANOTHER WALK I THINK THIS EVENING BY MYSELF. IT WILL GET MY MIND OFF OF THE CRAPPY SHAKES I HAVE TO DRINK! CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS ALL TO BE OVER AND BE ABLE TO EAT REAL FOOD AGAIN ONLY BETTER CHOICES OF COURSE. LOW CALORIES HIGH PROTEIN LOW FAT MEALS. I LEARNED MY LESSON HOPEFULLY!!! IT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE - IF IT TASTE GOOD - IT'S NO GOOD FOR YOU! LOL

LAPBAND JOURNEY - DAY 3 OF PRE OP DIET

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 5, 2011 - DAY 3 OF PRE OP DIET - WELL I SLEPT IN UNTIL 8:30 AM TODAY. A LITTLE RESTLESS LAST NIGHT DUE TO MY 9 AM APPT. WITH DR. MARLEY RE: PRE OP SURGERY. I LOST 5 MORE LBS. FOR A TOTAL OF 10 LBS. LOST SO FAR IN MY JOURNEY. NOT BAD CONSIDERING I THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE GAINED WT. OVER THE HOLIDAYS. YEH ME! I HAD LABS DONE AND AN EKG. I GOT TO TALK WITH THE ANESTHESIOLOGIST RE: MY SURGERY. HE ASSURED ME THAT I SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEMS IN RECOVERY DUE TO MY SLEEP APNEA. DR. MARLEY HAD ME SWITCH TO THE BARIATRIC ADVANTAGE PROTEIN SHAKES 3 TIMES A DAY ALONG WITH 2 CONTROL BARS. (INSTEAD OF THE CARNATIONS DRINKS AND LEAN CUSINE DINNERS) SO THAT I WILL GET MORE PROTEIN AND LESS CALORIES. I WAS NOT AT ALL HAPPY ABOUT THAT! I THINK THEY TASTE TERRIBLE. YUK! I LOVED THE LEAN CUISINE DINNERS AND SOME OF THEM WERE LESS THAN 200 CALORIES. GO FIGURE??? OH WELL. I HAVE TO COMPLY I GUESS. I AM SCHEDULED FOR AN EGD DUE TO HAVING GERD FOR OVER 5 YRS. AND BEING ON MEDICINE FOR IT. IT IS NEXT TUESDAY. HOPE ALL GOES WELL. CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE EVERYTHING OVER AND DONE WITH AND BACK TO NORMAL AGAIN. ENJOYED MY CAFFEINE FREE HOT TEA THIS AM AND AGAIN TONIGHT. ALSO WENT FOR A WALK WITH MY HUSBAND OUTSIDE THIS AFTERNOON. WE WALKED 2 BLOCKS AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD AGAIN. IT SEEMS TO GET EASIER EACH DAY. I WAS THINKING ABOUT TRYING TO DO THIS TWICE A DAY MAYBE STARTING TOMORROW. WE'LL SEE!

TUESDAY - JAN. 4, 2011 - DAY 2 OF MY LAPBAND JOURNEY- I WAS ABLE TO SLEEP UNTIL 9 AM AGAIN THIS AM. YEH! HAD MY CHOCOLATE CARNATION SUGAR FREE BREAKFAST DRINK WITH 8 OZ. SKIM WHITE MILK FOR BREAKFAST AND 8 OZ. HOT DECAF TEA WITH 1 SPLENDA. lUNCH CONSISTED OF A 9 3/8 OZ. LEAN CUISINE GRILLED CHICKEN PRIMIVERA DINNER AND 8 OZ. STRAWBERRY KIWI CRYSTAL LITE DRINK. SUPPER WAS 8 OZ. ROASTED TURKEY AND VEGETABLES LEAN CUISINE DINNER AND 8 OZ. STRAWBERRY KIWI CRYSTAL LITE DRINK. EVENING SNACK WAS CHOCOLATE CARNATION SUGAR FREE INSTANT BREAKFAST MIX WITH 8 OZ. WHITE SKIM MILK. I ACTUALLY WENT ON A WALK BY MYSELF TODAY OUTSIDE. WAS ABLE TO WALK 2 BLOCKS AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD AGAIN. YEH! I THINK I EVEN WALKED A LIL FASTER TODAY. DAY 1 OF MY LAPBAND JOURNEY - MONDAY - JAN 3, 2011 - " WELL TODAY IS THE 1ST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE!" - I AWOKE AT 9 AM THIS AM WHICH IS GOOD FOR ME AS I HAVE NOT BEEN SLEEPING WELL LATELY OFTEN GETTING AWAKE AT 3 OR 4 AM AND UNABLE TO GET BACK TO SLEEP. I STARTED DAY 1 OF MY 2 WK. PRE OP DIET. BREAKFAST CONSISTED OF 1PKG. OF SUGAR FREE CHOCOLATE CARNATION INSTANT BREAKFAST MIXED WITH 8 OZ. SKIM MILK AT 150 CAL. AND 5 GRAMS OF PROTEIN. FOR LUNCH - I HAD A 9 OZ. LEAN CUISINE BEEF POT ROAST DINNER. 210 CAL., 14 GRAMS OF PROTEIN, AND 6 GRAMS OF FAT. ALSO 8 OZ. STRAWBERRY KIWI CRYSTAL LIGHT AT 15 CALORIES. FOR SUPPER - I HAD AN 8 OZ. HERB ROASTED CHICKEN LEAN CUISINE DINNER. 170 CAL. 16 GRAMS OF PROTEIN AND 3 GRAMS OF FAT. ALSO 8 OZ. STRAWBERRY KIWI CRYSTAL LIGHT AT 15 CALORIES. EVENING SNACK WAS SUGAR FREE CHOCOLATE CARNATION INSTANT BREAKFAST WITH 8 OZ. SKIM MILK AT 150 CAL. TOTAL CAL. FOR THE DAY = 710 TOTAL PROTEIN = 40 GRAMS I WENT FOR A FAIRLY LONG WALK TODAY WITH MY HUSBAND ALSO - THE FIRST WALK IN OVER 2 YEARS I MIGHT ADD - DUE TO MY CONDITION OF FIBROMYALGIA. MY LEGS ACHED, BUT I WAS DETERMINED TO DO IT. I WORE MY NEW DIABETIC SHOES, SO MY FEET FELT GOOD ANYWAY!!! OVERALL - A GOOD 1ST DAY!!!! NOT AS HARD AS I THOUGHT AND STRESSED IT WOULD BE. YEAH ME!!!

LAPBAND - 4 MONTHS POST OP

WELL I HAD MY DR. APPT. TODAY. I LOST ANOTHER 3 1/2 LBS. FOR A TOTAL OF 50 LBS. YEAH!! I AM AT MY HALF WAY GOAL NOW. I ALSO GOT A FILL BEING MY 3RD. - 1/2 CC. MAKING A TOTAL OF 5.75 CC IN A 10 CC BAND. IT DIDN'T HURT THIS TIME EITHER. THE DR. ASSISTANT DID IT THIS TIME. YEAH! SO IT IS LIQUIDS TODAY, SOFT TOMORROW AND THEN REG DIET. I HOPE I HAVE ALOT MORE RESTRICTION NOW. I AM GOING TO TRY SOME GROUND LEAN HAMBURG SOON AS I HAVE YET TO HAVE THAT. I AM GETTIN TIRED OF CHICKEN, FISH, TUNA, AND SALMON. I ALSO ATTENDED MY GROUP SUPPORT MEETING TODAY. DR. RYS THE PSYCIATRISH WAS GUEST SPEAKER. HE WAS GREAT. VERY INSPIRATIONAL. THREE THINGS HE SAID THAT I WANTED TO SHARE WITH YOU. 1.) EVERY DAY THAT YOU DO GOOD, REWARD YOURSELF WITH SOMETHING. IT CAN BE AS SMALL AS A CARAMEL, OR A FLAVORED CREAMER FOR YOUR COFFEE OR TEA, OR IT CAN BE AS BIG AS NEW CLOTHING. IT WILL HELP YOU FEEL MOTIVATED. 2.) KEEP A JOURNAL. EVERY DAY WRITE DOWN ONLY THE GOOD THINGS THAT YOU DID FOR THE DAY. THEN READ IT EACH DAY. IT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE HAVING A DOWN DAY. 3.) HE SAID EVERYONE FAILS AT SOME POINT - AND WHEN YOU DO, PICK YOURSELF UP, DUST YOURSELF OFF, AND START ALL OVER AGAIN! SOUNDS LIKE GOOD ADVICE TO ME. I THINK I MAY JUST TRY THESE THINGS. SO HERE'S TO A WONDERFUL TOMORROW!!!

JUST WHEN I THOUGHT I WAS DONE WITH SLIMING AND THROWING UP, I HAD YET ANOTHER EPISODE TODAY WHILE EATING CORN ON THE COB. YEP, DUMMY ME - THOUGHT I COULD ACHIEVE THIS DUMB FEAT! LESSON LEARNED - NO MORE CORN ON THE COB FOR ME!!!! I HAVEN'T HAD AN EPISODE LIKE THAT FOR AT LEAST A MONTH OR MORE PRIOR.

HELP - HAIR THINNING!!!

CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THEY ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM? MY HAIR IS THINNING AND FALLING OUT. IS THERE ANYTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT? I AM GETTING MY RECOMMENDED AMT. OF PROTEIN SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. I AM HYPO THYROID THOUGH. ANY SIGNIFICANCE? I TAKE MEDS FOR IT. I DO NOT LIKE THIS AT ALL!!!!!!!!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT!

I READ SOMEWHERE ON THE FORUMS ABOUT TAKING PHOTOS OF EVERYTHING YOU EAT FOR THE DAY VIA YOUR CELL PHONE OR CAMERA. THEN AT THE END OF THE DAY WHEN YOU WANT TO RECORD IT ALL - IT WILL BE FRESH IN YOUR MEMORY! SO I AM GONNA TRY THIS COZ I THINK I AM EATING TOO MUCH - BUT WHEN I TRY TO RECALL WHAT ALL I ATE FOR THE DAY - I CAN'T REMEMBER?

FIRST FILL - OUCH!

WELL TODAY I WENT IN FOR MY FIRST FILL. IT WAS UNDER FLUROSCOPY. I HAD TO DRINK SOME BARIUM FIRST. WELL THE DOC COULDNT FIND THE MID PORT AND HIT THE EDGE AND IT KINDA BOUNCED AND THEN POPPED. WOW - WHAT A CREEPY FEELING. IT SCARED ME MORE THAN IT HURT ACTUALLY. BUT IT DEF WAS UNCOMFORTABLE. GLAD THAT'S OVER WITH! WHEW! HE PUT 1 CC IN AND THEN TOOK 1/2 CC BACK OUT COZ WHEN I DRANK THE BARIUM - IT EMPTIED OUT OF THE STOMACH TOO SLOW. HE FELT I ALREADY HAD PRETTY GOOD RESTRICTION. I AM TO RETURN IN 1 MONTH NOW. UNLESS I NEED ANOTHER ADJUSTMENT IN THE MEANTIME. I AM TO BE ON LIQUIDS THE REST OF TODAY FOLLOWED BY MUSHY TOMORROW AND THEN REG THE NEXT DAY. WAS TOLD TO WATCH PORTIONS AND MAKE SURE I ONLY EAT 3/4 CUP AT MEALTIMES. WAIT 1/2 HR BEFORE AND AFTER MEALS TO HAVE LIQUIDS AND WAIT 4 HR. BETWEEN MEALS. DRINK LOTS OF WATER AND EXERCISE. THEN SIT BACK AND WATCH THE LBS. MELT AWAY. HA HA. I ALSO ATTENDED MY FIRST LAPBAND SUPPORT GROUP MEETING TONIGHT. IT WAS AWESOME. THEY HAD A GUEST SPEAKER THERE WHO SPECIALIZES IN MUSIC THERAPY. SHE PLAYED THE HARP AND SANG AND MADE US FEEL SO RELAXED AND TAUGHT US HOW TO UNSTRESS OURSELVES. SHE ALSO PASED A DRUM AROUND THAT HAD BEADS IN IT AND WHEN YOU SHOOK IT IT SOUNDED JUST LIKE THE OCEAN WAVES. SO COOL. WE HAD TO SHUT OUR EYES AND PASS IT AROUND TO ONE ANOTHER. MET ALOT OF NICE FELLOW BANDERS THERE. GONNA TRY AND GO EVERY MONTH IF POSSIBLE.

CAN YOU SAY - "FRUSTRATION!"

Well after a month of not losing any weight (5 months out and 50lbs less) and being able to pretty much eat what I want and as much as I want if I didn't stop, and soooo ready to schedule another fill, guess what happens today? - yep - yet another episode of sliming and throwing up and would you believe - after a protein shake? GO FIGURE!!!! Grrrrr - now I am at a loss to know what to do - get a fill or not???? I even stepped up my exercise. I have been taking two long walks daily instead of one and I also started some exercising in my hottub as much as tolerated. I have fibromyalgia. I swear I have the most finicky band ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BIKING HARD

MY HUBBY AND I WENT BIKING TODAY. WE BIKED 5 MILES IN AND 5 MILES BACK OUT. WE WENT ON A TRAIL WHICH IS OF COURSE EASIER TO RIDE BUT I GOTTA TELL YA - I NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS WOULD HAVE THOUGHT I COULD EVER DO THIS. REMEMBER I HAVE FIBROMYALGIA. LAST TIME I RODE MY BIKE WAS 2 YRS. AGO AND I WAS 50 LBS HEAVIER AND COULD ONLY DO A TOTAL OF 4 MILES AND IT JUST ABOUT KILLED ME FOR REAL!!! SO 10 MILES TOTAL BIKE RIDE TODAY IS JUST UNBELIEVEABLE FOR ME!!! YEAH ME!!!

BAKED EGG CUSTARD - EXCELLENT SOURCE OF PROTEIN!!!

SKIM MILK 1 CUP SPLENDA (SUGAR SUBSTITUTE) 1 TEASPOON VANILLA, BEAT ALL TOGETHER IN AN OVEN PROOF CONTAINER SUCH AS PYREX. SPRINKLE SOME CINNEMON AND NUTMEG ON TOP. BAKE IN OVEN 1 HR. AT 325 DEGREES. LET SET TILL COOL. IT WILL THICKEN AS IT SETS. THIS IS SIMPLY DELICIOUS!!!! YOU COULD EVEN TOP WITH FAT FREE COOL WHIP IF YOU WISH. ENJOY!

NOW THIS CAN MEAN ADDING 1/2 SCOOP OF PROTEIN POWDER TO YOUR MEALS SUCH AS DRINKS, SOUPS, OR FOOD, OR SPRINKLING LOW FAT SHREDDED CHEESE ON YOUR EGGS OR SALADS OR FISH OR CHICKEN, OR SPRINKLING SEEDS OR NUTS (CRUSHED) ON YOUR FOODS, TRY TO EAT ONLY POULTRY (CHICKEN) SEAFOOD, FISH OF ALL KINDS, SHRIMP, CANNED TUNA, SALMON AND AVOID PORK AND BEEF. 3 MONTH POST OP APPOINTMENT!!!!

HAD MY 3 MONTH POST OP APPOINTMENT TODAY. DOWN 6 1/2 MORE LBS. I AM SHY OF 3 1/2 LBS. OF MAKING MY HALF WAY POINT TO GOAL. TOTAL WT. LOSS SO FAR IS 46 1/2 LBS. I DID NOT GET AA FILL TODAY. HE WANTED TO GIVE ME ONE BUT I DECLINED BECAUSE I JUST FOUND OUT THAT MEDICARE DOES NOT PAY FOR THE FILLS. I HAVE TO PAY $75.00 FOR THEM. GREAT HUH???? AND HE WAS ONLY GONNA GIVE ME 1/2 CC - SO I FIGURED SINCE I LOST 6 1/2 LBS. THAT I REALLY DON'T NEED ONE THAT BAD YET - EVEN THOUGH I STILL CAN EAT MORE THAN 1 CUP AT MEALTIME AND SOONER THAN EVERY 4 HRS. IT IS DEF A STRUGGLE TO LIMIT MYSELF BUT I HAVE TO DO IT!!! I AM WALKING OUTSIDE EVERY DAY AND I CAN FEEL MY CLOTHES GETTING LOOSER. SO THAT IN ITSELF IS AN ACOMPLISHMENT. SO YEH ME!!!

"VALENTINES DAY AND CHOCOLATES"

WELL TODAY IS VALENTINE'S DAY - AND THAT MEANS CHOCOLATES FOR SOME OF US! I HAD SOME LAST EVENING AND I HAVE TO ADMIT - I THOUGHT I DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN! HOWEVER, AFTERWARDS I FELT LIKE I COMITTED A MORTAL SIN! SUCH GUILT!!! I ALSO WENT OUT TO A RESTRAUNT LAST NIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE BEING BANDED ON 1/17. IT WENT BETTER THAN I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT. I ORDERED WHAT I WANTED BUT ONLY ATE SMALL PORTIONS OF EVERYTHING. I ORDERED STUFFED CHICKEN BREAST AND MASHED POTATOES WITH GRAVY AND SALAD AND I EVEN HAD A BIT OF HOMEMADE BREAD. I ALSO HAD A SMALL SCOOP OF RAINBOW ICECREAM FOR DESSERT! I ONLY HAD A BIT OF EVERYTHING AND GAVE THE REST TO MY HUSBAND. EVERYTHING WENT DOWN WELL AND NOTHING GOT STUCK! IT TASTED SO GOOD! THE ONLY BAD PART IS - TUESDAY IS WEIGH IN DAY AT THE DR. I GUESS I HAD BETTER START WORKING OUT AND TRY TO WORK OFF ALL THAT DELICIOUS FOOD AND CHOCOLATES!!!! "HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO YOU ALL!" XXXOOO
