almost 3 months post-op

Well I am almost 3 months post op and I have just hit the 30lb mark. (Much slower than I had expected) I go for my third fill August 9th. I hope to get some restriction. I really have not seen restriction since my swelling went down. I will say that I have joined Zumba classes and I do 7 classes weekly. I have lost from a size 20 to a 16 so at least have lost inches but not sure that the surgery itself has done a whole lot! I lost most of the weight on the liquid diet and I'm sure the Zumba it the majority of the rest. :closedeyes:

10 days Post-Op

10 days post op and I am down a total of 21 lbs since I started the pre-op diet. I have had gas really bad up til today, so I am hoping and praying it is gone! I am sure this is the best decision I have made in my life. I already feel different (in a good way) and so excited about my journey. Amazing how different you feel with just a few lbs off. Even went walking last night with my dogs and hubby!

Banded on 05-04-10 Healing

Well I was banded 05-04-10 the procedure took about 45 minutes then I was another hour and half in recovery. I have not had to have any pain medicine since recovery. Dealing with a little gas well alot of gas. GasX strips are the bomb by the way. I had lost a total of 13 lbs on the 10 day liquid diet and another three so far since surgery. 16lbs down and I can't wait to see where I will be in a few months. My husband was great, during the surgery process and I will say it is nice to have someone support your decision. I decided not to tell to many people. My work family knows because another friend from work will be banded in the next week or two but other family and friends do not know. Looking forward to see more positive results.

Getting Banded tomorrow @ 7

Getting banded tomorrow. Ready to get off of the clear liquids.... What could make a fat girl any happier! I have done really well on the pre-op diet, face it, it is going to have it ups and downs but I am going to make it! Any advice??? I do feel like this is going to be the best decision I have made in a long time!

Day 7 of pre-op diet!

Well it is day 7 of the pre-op diet and I have not killed anyone yet! Start clear liquids in the morning. I said I was not going to weigh again until surgery day but I did it anyway and I have lost 8 lbs on the pre-op diet. Woot Woot! Where was this will-power on all of my previous diets?:smile:

Liquid Diet

Well on day three of the pre-op diet and I have to say it is not as bad as I thought it would be. Tomorrow, I go for CBC, BMP, CXR, UGI and EKG. Ready to get past the surgery and on to the weight loss! I can tell I have lost weight already but I am NOT going not going to weigh again until surgery day!:biggrin:

Surgery Date

So excited, I went to the doctor this week and I finally have my surgery date. May 4th. Start my 10 day liquid diet Saturday, I know it will be hard but I am super motivated!

Advice for new Bandster

I am so excited, I finally got approved by my insurance company and I go Monday for my Begins Class and pre-op appointment. Any advice?:tongue_smilie:
