Well, I turned 33 on the 10th and had my band done on the 11th. Thought my birthday would be pretty depressing given that I only had liquids. But was too excited about op. My last memory when drifting off into anesthesia was of my anesthetist telling me in his very camp voice. "You are gonna be a hot mamma by Christmas". Gee, that sounds good.
I am now 4 days post op. Starting to feel human. The liquid diet isn't worrying me too much. Made a Thai Pumpkin Soup today which is to dye for. Half a cup was all I could manage but it was so yum, I was more than satisfied. I also went for a 5km walk today (slowly). Needed to get moving as I was going batty. Am going back to work tomorrow. Just for a half day to start. I am in an office and I actually think it will be more relaxing and less strenuous there than at home with 3 very active kids.
I am surprised I have already lost 6kg. I am 4 days in and 2 people have already commented that I am looking slimmer. Can't wait to be a hot mamma by Christmas.:thumbup:
