Hubby & I had our initial consult with the surgeon today. Dr. Ceppa said we are both good candidates for the lap band. My BMI is 38 & I have hypertension. He also wants me to have a sleep study. Hubby's BMI is 40. He has hypertension & sleep apnea. Dr. Ceppa warned me that my hubby will lose ALOT faster than me. He said the weight will melt off hubby once his calories are restricted. I am one of those people that doesn't see myself as overweight as I really am. Call it denial, call it blindness, call it whatever. Well, I got the shock of my life last night. My DH, DD & were at the LPGA US Women's Open in Bethlehem yesterday & NBC10 news from Philadeliphia interviewed DD & DH. I was in the background of the shots. OMG!!!
