Hubby & I had our initial consult with the surgeon today. Dr. Ceppa said we are both good candidates for the lap band. My BMI is 38 & I have hypertension. He also wants me to have a sleep study. Hubby's BMI is 40. He has hypertension & sleep apnea. Dr. Ceppa warned me that my hubby will lose ALOT faster than me. He said the weight will melt off hubby once his calories are restricted. No Denying it....I need surgery

I am one of those people that doesn't see myself as overweight as I really am. Call it denial, call it blindness, call it whatever. Well, I got the shock of my life last night. My DH, DD & were at the LPGA US Women's Open in Bethlehem yesterday & NBC10 news from Philadeliphia interviewed DD & DH. I was in the background of the shots. OMG!!!
