Pre-op start up

Well my first blog was about making my first call to UNC and waiting to hear from my Case Manager That call was made on Monday. Well I got the call today which was very quick because I was told it would take up to 7 days to hear back from them, but anyway she informed me that I would be approved once I have completed my pre-weight loss program then in 4 months I will start working with a surgeon, and start the next step. I am so excited to get this process started.:thumbdown:

The start of a new life

Well I have done a lot of research over the past 2 years and I am finally ready. I have spoken to the UNC rep about getting me started and I was advised that I will hear something back from a Case Manager in 5-7 business days. I am kind of nervous about being approved for the Lap-Band. I am 5'6 weighing 264 with a BMI of 42.6, and 100lbs overweight, but I dont have any other health conditions. I have struggled with my weight all my life, and have made many efforts to lose weight but all were sho
