About this blog

I am 48 and a  Proud ARMY Wife.  Mother of two awesome boys and two awesome rescue doggies.  My husband is amazing.   I lost my Mom last May 11th, and my sweet 90-year-old dad is now living with us.  I am a teacher and love it.  I love to read, UFC, and traveling.  My surgery is scheduled for May 9th; I am ready and excited.  Close to the anniversary of my Mom's death.

After a long journey,  my surgery date is May 9th!!!   It is almost one year to the date of my Mom's passing.  I know she is happy about this and will be with me.  I have read so much and imagined so many versions of what this journey will be like.  Honestly, I am not worried about anything.  I am ready to go.   It will be a challenging summer. We are Army, and we will be moving this summer (maybe, we do not have orders yet).  My oldest graduates from high school on the 19th.  My older brot
