thanks for the info. Im gonna check him out. my only issue is the distance from los angeles and my family being able to be near for support. but will still check it out!

$15,300 in San Diego

$7,500 with Dr. Ortiz in TJ Mexico

I also used Dr. Kirshenbaum in Denver.

$9950 everything included. I stayed in a hotel that was close to the hospital the night of the surgery. He has many out of town and out of state patients. Did you check out his website? He also does not require all the extra stuff some docs do. I went for my first consult and then had surgery a couple weeks later. He will do a consult over the phone and so will the nut.

BQT, if you do opt for an out of town doc, be sure that you have a local doctor who will take care of your band fills and other band related issues. Your follow up care is very important for success with a band.

I paid $13,500 for my surgery and one year of office appointments, fills, etc.

Hi

I live in AZ and my price was 15,000.00 that included a year of follow up and fills. Having had surgeries in Ca and AZ. CA will be more expensive. Good luck

Had mine on 9/3 with Dr. Corvala in TJ - $6500.

I live in Texas and Dr. Collier with Journeylite did my surgery for $13,500 and includes free fills for life.

Had mine on 9/3 with Dr. Corvala in TJ - $6500.

I'm due to see him Sat the 3rd...

Any suggestions or advice?

Did you pay in cash, money order or cashiers ck?

Thx!

BTW

I was self pay and paid 16,900 with only three months of follow up..

Hi,

I am in the LA area too I went to Dr Korman in Marina Del Rey, check them out Bariatric Surgery | Los Angeles | Orange County

I am not sure what cash pay is because my insurance covered it. But I will say they are great and from what I understand the cost covers everything including fills.

BQT- I am a self pay. I came to this website and searched the threads looking at names and prices. I looked for experience with the procedure and also what kind of doctor they are with their regular practice. I can tell you I went with Dr. Kirshenbaum, he is a Laparoscopic surgeon (that's the type of surgery used for placing the band). I can tell you I have fallen in love with Denver, CO (smile). I figured if I was going to pay for it myself, I'd also like to go someplace where it's nice to visit, a mini vaca. GREAT EXPERIENCE, I'd do it all over again. He's very patient, not rushed, methodical. I like someone who answers my questions giving me more info than I asked for. Staff in the office are a great bunch. I didn't feel like a number. Overall satisfaction is a 10

Call Dr. Kirshenbaum's office, ask for "Natalie". She can answer pretty much any questions you have.

LUCK! -Patty in Florida
