Newly Banded

Greetings

My name is Jill - got banded on Monday 9/19. I'm a little sore still (better than yesterday though) and even coughing isn't so bad. I'm trying to stay off the pain meds today, we'll see how I do :D

My weight problems have been lifelong, and while losing weight was never a problem, keeping it off was, and the band for me, is my last shot at doing it *right*. I see my father and my aunt - 65 and 67 years old - so morbidly obese, and at 40 years old, I don't want to head down that road.

I hope to participate lots here :)

Hi Jill--congratulations and welcome!! Sounds like you are doing great; just be good to yourself and the healing will continue.

Nice to meet you!

Hi Jill~

Welcome to the forum. I'm fairly new here too, but I already love it!

Congratulations on your successful surgery, and I wish you many lost pounds!! :)

Hope you enjoy your stay. It's great here!!

I'm new too. Banded on 9/14/05...I'm still in the scared..."Are we sure this is going to work??" phase. Good luck!

Hi Jill!

I am newly banded on 9/19 too!! Feeling so good it scares me. Typical post op pain at sites but moving and doing well. Peek at my thread under "newbie" i posted more info about me today.

I wish us botha speedy and easy recovery. On to thin & healthy!

Welcome, Jill, Bjorkturf, & Wonderkidsmom. I am fairly new to this also. Being scared is normal. Just take your time, and everything will fall into place!
