One year out!!

One year ago today i had my surgery! 60 lbs later...i feel great!!!

It is a slow journey for me....and im far from being done!! But, i averaged just a little over one pound a week! im happy and my surgeon is happy!! 30 more pounds to go!!! Cant wait to lose more!! :frown:

Way to go!!! I too am a "slow-loser". It's hard and I get impatient, but it's so worth it!

I think we slow-losers should consider ourself to be in the average category, not "slow" losers. Some people just lose really fast. I really do think we are the norm--I think the stats say bandsters lose only 60% of their weight in the first 2 years...

Congrats! I hit my 1 tr. banded 7/23 and i must say i am nervous about it. My insurance only pays for me to see my surgeon for one yr. so after that there wont be any every month visits and check-ups. i feel like I'm going to be on my own. i would love to lose another 38 lbs to hit my final goal, so we both have about the same amount to lose. good luck and you should be so proud of yourself.
