Remember?

What kind of things do you remember as a kid. Like candy, toys, clothing, etc.

When I was 6 I REALLY wanted this doll called Velvet. You turned the knob in the back and her hair got short, you pressed her belly button and pulled her pony tail and her hair got long.

Oh how I loved that doll. A few years after I got her I decided she needed a hair cut ROFL !!!

I had an easy bake oven. I also had My Little Ponies that had tails like your doll. You could pull the tails out really long, and if you turned their heads back and forth it got shorter.

I also had one of those dolls where you could do the make up and hair. And one of them, the hair changed color when you heated it up with a crimp or curling Iron. Or maybe it was one of those Water ones, so there was no 'heat' envoled... I don't remember, lol.

Sarah, you were born the same year as my nephew. I remember him loving Rainbow Bright, Smurfs, Care Bears, Hello Kitty.

I think thats when Atari came out... which I loved !!

As a kid I would set an alarm to be able to watch this cartoon. Anyone remember him? I would sit in the living room and yell with him at the top of my lungs. My mom HATED him.

Who can recognize him????

My hero....

Thats to cool Jenna, I remember watching that show. Its funny because Saturday mornings were the best when it came to watching cartoons. I remember with each September there were new shows, some were take-offs of regular shows, like the Brady Bunch, The Jackson 5 :D Now there's nothing Saturday mornings (well not like it used to be thats for sure).

Does anyone remember the Groovy Ghoulies (sp?).... I'll try to find a picture... Ohh and Sigmond & The Sea Monster (the Kroft shows), the evil brothers Burp and Slurp LOL

Johnny Quest and Simba the Lion were two of my favorite cartoons. (Of course Bugs and that series always tops the very favs - PePe la Pew, the witch that always had the hairpins flying everywhere, the little martian guy...)

Speaking of martians, loved My Favorite Martian, Mr. Ed, I Dream of Jeannie...

And ZOTZ and PopRocks were hip waaay back then... ;D Purple Passion soda - yum... lol

One of my favorite memories were of me and my mom every Saturday for lunch would make Tuna fish sandwiches with a glass of milk and sit down to watch CREATURE DOUBLE FEATURE. Man I loved those times.

Also,

My favorite toy was my BABY ALIVE, the doll you can feed this goopy stuff to and then she would wet her diaper. She ended up getting maggots in her because of the goopy stuff.....how traumatizing!

Do we see a pattern of eating here?? No wonder I need the band.
