I'm not one to judge others without knowing them/all the facts, but this one burned me!!! I watched the announcements of the Octuplets being born, and thought; well it must have happened due to follicle stimulation because no Dr. would do invitro with 8 or more embryos. Yesterday I watched as the experts gave their opinions with the same conclusion I came to. There was no way any of them would have done invitro with that many eggs and they would turn someone away who wanted that, so they also felt it must have been egg stimulation that caused this.

Now this morning I learn that the mother, who is currently living at home with her mother, already has six children (we know nothing about the father)!!!! And here's the kicker...it WAS invitro!!!! Holy Cow!!! I get that there are crazy people out there, so I'm writing the mom off as nuts, but what the heck happened to regulating and having rules about ethics for this for the Drs.??!! What's next...cloning? Know that I have family members and friends that have been helped by fertility specialists, so I know the benefit in using one, but this guy crossed the line. Just MO.

I read today that the hospital that has the babies is looking into a way to not release the babies to her. They are hoping to keep the babies while CPS investigates.

Yea, I think they said that they aren't going to release them until she proves she can take care of them.

I love cats and I had about 9 at one time. They were hard enough to take care of, let along 14 kids!

I just watched part one of Dr. Phil and it was interesting. Octo-mom states that the social workers are in touch with her to figure out where all the kids are going to live.

Thank goodness CPS is reviewing the case. Plus, octo-mom stated that three of the babies are coming home in a couple of weeks. :tt2:

I ended up missing Dr. Phil altogether as well. Completely forgot about it. Got busy with the kiddo, work and had my teeth cleaned today.

I'm glad to hear that CPS is now involved. They aren't always high on my list of favs but they do provide a needed source of service. And sometimes they do get things right. Hopefully they will in this case too.

It was an interesting show. Dr. Phil became very frustrated by her during their interview as he himself admitted to his audience. He kept trying to get her to admit that she made a very big mistake which she wouldn't. She was full of self-justifications. Part two will be on today. I can hardly wait! And I have the rest of the pasta to nuke and then to eat.

My dietitian visited me (I was afraid that I would miss part of Dr. Phil) yesterday and weighed me and told me that I have lost 6 lbs. I now weigh 124. Throat cancer is verrry slimming! In every cloud is a silver lining, is what I say....

Who would want to watch that? And why would she (Nadya) if she had an ounce of ego (which she obviously does) even entertain the idea? I wouldn't - especially knowing that porn stars have to be in relatively good shape, and with her just having had 8 babies, she's not anywhere near that kind of shape.

If she did do something like that, CPS would definately have grounds to keep the babies away from her...they wouldn't see that as 'viable employment' I'll bet...
