I'm not one to judge others without knowing them/all the facts, but this one burned me!!! I watched the announcements of the Octuplets being born, and thought; well it must have happened due to follicle stimulation because no Dr. would do invitro with 8 or more embryos. Yesterday I watched as the experts gave their opinions with the same conclusion I came to. There was no way any of them would have done invitro with that many eggs and they would turn someone away who wanted that, so they also felt it must have been egg stimulation that caused this.

Now this morning I learn that the mother, who is currently living at home with her mother, already has six children (we know nothing about the father)!!!! And here's the kicker...it WAS invitro!!!! Holy Cow!!! I get that there are crazy people out there, so I'm writing the mom off as nuts, but what the heck happened to regulating and having rules about ethics for this for the Drs.??!! What's next...cloning? Know that I have family members and friends that have been helped by fertility specialists, so I know the benefit in using one, but this guy crossed the line. Just MO.

I was listening to a talk radio guy this morning and he was talking about that, and he said, "Finally, a chance for that thing of hers to finally make money!"

I busted out laughing.

Fearing that Nadya Suleman "will become the subject of endless ridicule and scorn," the president of Pink Visual has offered Octo a "full year's worth of diapers" if she keeps her baby maker where it belongs ... fully covered and far away from any type of recording device.

In a letter sent to Octo, morally righteous Pink Visual warns, "There's a great deal of stigma attached to being a porn star" and that Octo needs to think "in the best interest of your children." For once.

If she did do something like that, CPS would definately have grounds to keep the babies away from her...they wouldn't see that as 'viable employment' I'll bet...

Yep, that's right.

I missed Dr. Phil yesterday but caught the last half of it. Then there was a sort of epilogue by Phil - and I'd swear that the entire production was simply a plea to get people to send money. Of course Dr. Phil sez it is all about the babies. And I don't doubt that he's concerned about them. But I think his biggest concern is about his ratings. I'm sure that these interviews made his ratings soar.

It's always all about the money isn't it!

I got the same impression with Dr. Phil. It was mostly a show seeking donations to help all the babies and children octo-mom has.

if the state allows her to keep those kids , then i have no issue in them picking up her tab. not stable, not sane, not fiscally/emotionally responsible.

that may not be a popular opinion, but i'll send my money to my local ASPCA of which i'm a member vs dr's phil's fundraiser for ratings of this disgrace........

it's all about spaying/neutering not to burden the rest of society....maybe her mom should have gotten her a puppy as kid...

If we're going to be realistic we know somebody has to foot the bill for those children. And good people should want to help. But the cornerstone of any plan for their future should include the mother getting psychiatric help. It would be irresponsible to simply send her money and expect her to make the best decisions for the babies future.

I thought that someone's post who said that the hospital cannot arbitrarily withhold the children from their mother is interesting and is the right thing. If they have doubts about her ability to care for them, they should call the proper authorities and have an assessment done.

I do know that the NICU where my twin grandsons were born, refused to release the babies until someone from the hospital physically inspected and approved the car seats and until the parents had been instructed about how to care for preemies.

I am surprised that someone has not established a trust fund for each child. The trust fund would be monitored by a court appointed conservator who would make monthly or quartley reports to the court at a hearing. The conservator would have to account for all the money.

I think more people would be willing to help if they knew octo-mom could not get her paws on the money that the kids needs were taken care of.

Yesterday on Dr. Phil, she stated she was done having kids. But Doctor Phil was not believing her. She said if she had any more fertalized eggs she would not use them. That she would just leave them in storage and pay the storage fees. But again, Doctor Phil was not so sure about that.

One of the gossip mags I scanned headlines in while waiting to check out at the grocery store, has a story that she wants more kids....but we all know how unreliable those are!!!

I did not watch Dr. Phil. Can not stand that man and his condescending attitude, and then add her in the mix....no thank you!!!! LOL

I have no dount whatsoever, that his was done as an attention getter and money maker through ratings. If helping her gets him more recognition, I think he will do it.

But alas, we have not got our local land line to God to tell us what is really going on........

I just watched the second half of the interview, have a few comments:

1. Everytime she pushes that bottom lip out further to pout and gives the sad eyes, I want to just slap her!

2. After watching both days, I STILL thinks shes a total childish moron incapable of properly caring for 14 children.

3. EXTREMELY PISSED OFF that I noticed her children go to Whittier Christian School. I wanted to send my kids but could not afford it and I have a 2 income household. Here's the link to the fees for a year at this school. WHO THE HELL IS PAYING FOR THIS!?!?!? AND if the money that is going for tuition went to a house she would probably still have one. Her priorities are way F!#%ED up!!!!
