Everyone is different. I did not gain the first two weeks (hell week as it is called by many) of real food. I was very careful and watched my cal intake. I lost 6 lbs the first two week when starting back on real food. And have continued to lose about 3lbs per week. But let me tell you... you will be ready to eat the kitchen table. Keep drinking the protien drinks it will help with the hunger.

My weight loss stalled for about two weeks.

i didn't gain , but didn't lose for another wk or two afterwards. not sure if it mattered but i didn't have a preop diet - so my "liquid stage" was limited to a wk post op only.

I also didnt gain weight when I changed to real food. I went 2 months before I got a pause in my weight loss progress.
