When to sip?

okay..my surgery was this morning at 7:30 and I was home by 11:00. My doc said to only drink two ounces at a time which I understand, but my question is how often can i drink that two ounces? I'm sure this sounds silly but i really don't know. thanks!

You should be drinking the 2oz about every 5-10 minutes, depending upon what feels good to you. Don't get behind. I did that and really struggled to get rehydrated!

Congrats on the band! How exciting for you. I found that having a SF popsicle helps. I was able to feel like my mouth wasn't so dry.

Keep sipping!

I was just banded on August 4th!!! My doctor told me 2 oz every 15 minutes and to sip, not gulp. Takes all day to get in 64 ounces of fluid. This is only suppose to be for the first 10 days and then I can sip but not restricted to just 2 oz every 15 minutes. Hope that helps.

well..protein drinks do make you gain weight..well they made me gain weight..i think you should lay off the protein shakes..I too just got banded..on August 6th, 2008. I went in at 6:30am..had the surgery around 9am...and was at home around about 2:30pm...
