Hey everyone!

I am finally proud to be on here as an official bandster as of Wednesday! I got home last night, and I am having some serious back pain, and also (sorry) a lot of gas! Are these things normal? What is the back pain from? I am taking the percocet my Dr. send me home with, along with chewable gas-ex. Any input would be BEYOND appreciated!

Hi there. I was banded on the 9th as well. I'm having some back pain, but I think mine is more associated with the fibromyalgia then anything else. I do have a ton of gas though and it's very loud. I was sitting in my recliner last night and my dh was next to me on the couch. All of a sudden there was this huge rumbling of gas going through my intestines. We both looked at each other and started to crack up. Hopefully that will go away before I go back to work. That would be very embarrassing.

They fill you up with gas for the surgery, it can be very painful. Chew the gas X, try walking and if thay doesn't work get out a heating pad and lay on it. I had most of my pain in my shoulder, the heating pad really worked for me. Good Luck, it will get better each day!

I just returned from the emergency room to find that the pain in my back was actually pneumonia....walk walk walk, and remember to breathe.

I now have antibiotics and hopefully will be better soon!!!

Of course walking will help to move the gas, but what also helped for me was a heating pad, and a vibrating massager for my back... baby i felt the gas rumbling up everytime i put the massager on my back.... that was a huge help....

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
