I listen to REO's greatest hits cd every day in my car.

I listen to REO's greatest hits cd every day in my car.

As do I!!!! One of my best friends and I have killed many an afternoon blaring the cd and serenading people on the sidewalk.

The people who really want to commit suicide to end their lives (not talking about the ones who commit suicide to hurt someone else) aren't the ones who call a hotline and announce they're going to jump, or make a big dramatic scene about it. That would give someone the oppourtinty to intervene, and they don't want that. They're the ones who slip away unnoticed, never to be heard from again. The people who make the big scene are the ones who want to be talked out of it.

I liken this to "announcements" of people leaving a board. If someone really wants to leave, why don't they just slip away? Why even announce it? Are you hoping people try to talk you out of it? The ones who really want to leave aren't the ones who post "This is my last post" because -- who cares? Why aren't you just gone already? (Maybe the answer is "there's still more attention to gather.")

Usually if someone announces they're leaving, they're not leaving. I posted this once long ago to someone else dramatically announcing they were leaving, and she posted to argue with me -- that she was indeed leaving. But umm... you're still here disagreeing with me, even though your last post was like 3 posts ago... and there you are again...

Whatever the case, if you find a resource valuable, then it's a shame you let anyone have enough power over you to make you leave.

"ignorant": lacking knowledge about a particular subject or fact.

It takes someone with a high opinion of themselves to call a person Ignorant when they don't even know the difinition.

Knowledge is a wonderful thing, but knowledge with arrogance is supidity--oops -was that a slam?

Now how does that feels!

sensitivity is not your strong point is it?

Sweet cheeks if you are going to insult people ... Use a spell checker first, it tends to loose the impact when words are misspelled. I can show you how it should look with proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling if you want?

Everyone is a pony and they eat rainbows and poop butterflies.

YouTube - ponies eat rainbows and poop butterflies

That was a cute movie, I took the kid to see it last night.

Travelgirl- The best part was in the last scene when they all sang REO Speedwagon lol

What movie is that off of?

I just have to say that I am very new to this but have already found this board very helpful in learning things I may no have known, easy my fears, and letting me know what to expect.

GaLina, where did this come from? Wheetsin is a well respected member of LBT, not to mention a super moderator. She is very eloquent in her postings and very knowledgeable.

I really do not understand what it is you found in her post to be arrogant. Please explain. Also, please explain what "supidity" and "difinition" means.

Thank you.

WOW! I am going to ignore the obvious and horrid spelling and ask you flat out where is this hositlity coming from? She didn't call anyone ignorant. Don't you think you may have READ into her post WAY TOO MUCH?????

Just what I was about to say. I even went back and reread the post of Wheetsin's that was quoted - twice. There wasn't an "ignorant" to be found. Of the two posts in question, GaLina was the one that used the term "ignorant." I guess she was bashing herself, then, lol. :scared2: In which case, I fully agree with her post!
