I am back, banded a year ago

My name is Pat and I was banded Nov 15, 2006 by Dr Bhoyrul in San Diego. I lost 40 lbs pre-op during the 6 months previous on a medically supervised diet which showed I was able to change my habits. Then since banding I have lost another 60 lbs. I feel great. And now it is no longer an all consuming STRUGGLE to keep the weight down.

Thanks for sharing your success. Too many banders post the early few months when struggling to get the right restriction etc. and that's what the soon to be banders or newly banded see. It's great for them to read about a success.

A year out, one 100 pounds and no more struggling with weight!

Hope I'm there a year from now, too!

I am new to this site! It is great to hear how others are doing. I am almost a year out, I have lost 100 pounds and I am shooting for fifty more to goal.

Congratulations Pattigail & Tammy, 100 lbs each, now that's an achievement... certainly gives me hope!! ;)

Wow - Congrats to you ALL!

I was banded on Wed 1/9 and I am down 7 pounds. I can only hope that I am as successful as you all - my ultimate goal is 105 pounds! Thanks for your inspiring stories!

Hi Pattigail, You have done great. Has it been hard for you to loose? Keep up the good work.

Being banded January 16th

Isn't it wonderful for food not to be the daily struggle it always was? Not to have the love/hate relationship with it--I too love my band!!!
