I have an appointment next week for consultation for sleeve and hernia repair. Insurance already approved. How long to actual surgery? Once I decide something I tend to obsess. I’m nervous about the journey but I think I’m ready.

I had to wait a while due to the damn pandemic even though I went private so I am unhelpful sorry. I filled the time reading the back pages of the relevent parts of this forum. I found it helped the obsessing over the unknown.

My first consult was in early May of this year and my surgery is in 4 days, so roughly 5 months for me.

My surgery is on the 27th (October). My first consult was March 23rd, my last appt was Sept 18th. I'm really excited, but nervous too. Good luck to everyone. I hope you have the best possible results for you.

My first appointment was March 15th and I had surgery August 21st. It took 5 months because insurance required a lot of pre surgery things. 5 months went by so fast though with all the appointments. You won't regret the decision to have surgery. I had RNY gastric bypass. It has not been difficult at all. Best of luck!!!
