I can't sleep !

It's already 1 am and I can't seem to fall asleep. I don't know what went wrong. Was it the wine? I drank 2 glass of red earlier at 10 pm. The wine is the only culprit I can think of right now. I haven’t stayed up this late in forever. HELP!

Yeah, the wine’s likely the issue. Alcohol messes with your sleep, especially if you drink late. At 10 pm, your body’s still processing it hours later. Get out of bed for a bit, keep lights low, do so

  • it may also be your screen time (i mean you are posting this at 1am!)...you can try to stay off the phone/computer/tv for a couple hours before your intended bedtime. it may help.... good luck!

  • Bring yer wine and come on over to the Singles sub-forum...... Problems will be solved. (reason being it appears to be a freakin' yawnfest over there)

Definitely wine is the culprit for you not being able to sleep. You know what you did, but do you know why you drank wine? Knowing the why is always the hard part. If you can identify why you drank 2 glasses of wine at 10pm, how big was the glass.? What prompted you to want to drink that late? One must be aware of the why to understand why they can't sleep. Hope you got some sleep!!

Yep the wine and it being later at night you drank. Plus now you can’t stop thinking about not sleeping which is guaranteed to stop you from sleeping.

I had a glass of sparkling the other night when at dinner with my mum and niece. The bottle had been sealed with one of those coravin wine preservation systems. I think that messed with me as a glass of wine or sparkling at night (pre or during dinner) usually doesn’t affect me, Was awake from about 1 until 4am. Plus my head was thick and heavy almost like I had had several glasses. I feel your angst.

Hope you have sweet dreams soon.

I honestly thought drinking wine would knock me out but it did the opposite instead. I did eventually doze off after putting on a andrea bocelli cd. It had been a stressful night and I figured a glass of wine would be a good way to end the day. Bad idea!

I used to fall asleep after drinking alcohol! I guess it doesn't happen now that I'm older.
