Hey, all. Surgery went well yesterday. My surgery sight isn't very painful, but the gas is. I'm still recovering in the ICU. They have me here because of getting an RNY and I'm on cpap. The staff has been great. I didn't sleep well last night. Too many beeps, leg compression device, and discomfort. But better than yesterday. 20230502_054222.jpg

It's so good to hear from you Lindsay! Glad you're doing okay and the gas pains eases off. Not looking forward to that part! Take care!

I just got my date today May 24!

Y'all , my surgery was may 1st. I'm still in hospital and miserable. I'm having a hard time drinking water, it makes me nauseous. Hopefully today is better.

Had surgery yesterday morning (2nd) and still in hospital.. They are saying things are looking good and may go home this afternoon (3rd).
I was not prepared for the amount of pain I am in.
I also had a hernia repaired and the nurses and dr said that will cause the pain to be a little worse than normal.
Also, the gas pain is no joke.
Get up and get to waking as soon as you can after your surgery to try to get the gas moving out and keep blood clots from forming!

The gas pain is awful. Mine was Monday May 1st and I'm still in hospital. I'm supposed to go hone today, but we'll see.

KE and Lindsay, I'm sorry recovery is rough. I really hope all the pain and discomfort eases asap. Can I ask what pain meds they're giving you? Do they give anything for the gas like degas? I'm wondering if I should bring some in myself next week.

Keep your spirits up, this is just a small part of a life changing journey. Hugs.
