I have one! Its very effective but I can't use it for long periods yet bc it destroys my muscles lol. It's a lot harder than it looks if youre like me who isn't used to working out. If you are, you'll love it!

Nothing really wrong with a stepper, but it's a one-dimensional machine. Personally, I'd recommend a treadmill with an incline function (or just walking/running outside). Aside from the overall health benefits of walking on flat land / no incline, if you want to activate your glutes in particular, a steep incline will actually do that better than the stepper.

Thank you so much for this advice. I have decided on a treadmill and look forward to walking outside in spring as well!

Does anyone use a stepper? Looking to strengthen butt and legs for better ambulation. Surgery date was 11/8/22.

I do! I got it from Amazon! It's the Sunny brand w/resistance bands! It cost mr about $60 on sale! It was hard at first but since losing weight it has gotten so much easier and makes my leg muscles and arms feel so good! It's what I'll do if I can't make it to the gym! Holds up to 250lbs and I was so scared I would be too heavy for it but as I kept losing weight, 250lbs came and went! I hope you get one and I hope you love it!
