I have mine on May 31st! Super excited! I have to do 1 week of the liver shrinking diet and then 1 day of clear liquids.

  • I’m scheduled for May 9th. I’m excited and nervous too. I’m reading as much as I can and asking a million questions so I can be prepared for the after.

I cant say anymore if Im nervous or just anxious about it. I think they give you something before surgery to calm you lol Or at least I am hoping. My feeling is more like dread but not for the surgery itself just that I have to do it if that makes sense.

The only thing I'm a little uneasy about is the gas pain I keep hearing about. I had my gallbladder out in 97 when I was pregnant and other than pain at the incision sites, I don't remember any gas pain. I'm hoping it'll be like that now. I had to have my stomach inflated then, too, and I have 4 laparoscopy scars to show for it. Guess I'll be adding more since this one requires 5, I think lol

Hi, I’m new here but have been reading the forums for a while. My surgery is in Montreal with Dr Gagner on May 2nd. I’m a VSG revision to a SADI.

Tomorrow is my surgery! The time has gone by so quickly. I’m a bit nervous but happy the day is finally here!

Oh excellent!! I’ll try and post after my surgery to tell you how it went! Thank you so much for the good wishes! Good luck with your surgery too!!

if you’re getting your gastroscopy done by them, it’s a great experience. They sedate you so you don’t feel a thing!

I’m getting my surgery tomorrow and I had a major freak out last night. I know I can do this. But this is a lot more emotionally hard than I thought it would be.

My surgery is Tuesday and I can't wait!!!! I'm really shocked I'm not nervous at all. Is that even normal?? lol

Congrats and I’m very excited for your big day tomorrow!
I think that everyone reacts differently and possibly with many different emotions. I don’t anticipate being nervous but rather excited…but, who knows! ??‍♀️
Wishing you the best and I’m looking forward to your update! ❤️

I think your reaction is perfectly appropriate. Good thoughts coming your way, and I’ll be looking for your update. ❤️

Thanks!!! I actually just edited my post because I saw I said my surgery is Monday and I meant to write Tuesday lol But anyway, I have no clue why I'm not scared or nervous or anything. It's a major surgery that is removing part of my body and will bring about major lifelong changes. Yet all I feel is excitement and impatience lol I'm so so ready to take my life back. Do you have a surgery date? Where are you in the process?
