Does anyone have any recommendations on a chewable/ melt away vitamin that isn't incredibly vomit inducing? Can't swallow a pill until 30 days after surgery and I'm nervous. My first round with a chewable was not good ?

If you still a recommendation, Bariatric Vitamins from ProCare are wonderful!

Thanks, I’ll look into that. The hardest thing to find has been a chewable B-50 complex. So far the closest thing I can find is a liquid version.

I have been using Barimelt and they are really good, but turns out you have to take more of them to get the recommended dosage which can get pretty expensive. I’ve ordered some from Unjary. I’ve heard they are pretty good so we’ll see.

Shazza_ob1 the anxiety struggle is real! I, very recently had a huge anxiety melt down. For me organization is key. Having a folder or binder will be helpful. I cleared a shelf in my pantry for all of my post surgery supplies. This helped me greatly. I'm in the US and I assume by your wording you are not. I have no idea how the insurance process works but never be sorry for saying how you feel here. This is a safe place for all of us to say what we are feeling. Good luck ?

Very well said! Beautiful!

Have you guys looked into this site's formula? Bariatric pal has many varieties with varied flavors too to get you started. Plus they also have baraotric special where you only need to take once a day instead of having to take multiple pills a day.

I use Bariatric Advantage complete EA chewable multivitamin, Target brand B-12 melts, nature Made B-6 chewable, Natrona Vitamin D3 chewable and Caltrate calcium chewable. All approved by my doctor. I hope this helps

Immediately post op I took the bariatric advantage chewable. I was able to take it without food even and it didn’t upset my stomach. Of course everyone is different but I did well with it.

Hiya TamTY mine is on the same day! ? Excited, nervous, confident…can’t believe it’s actually going to happen….I have all of the emotions going on at the moment! Still seems ages away at the moment though. When do you start your pre op diet?

Same!! I have a 1-week low carb diet stating Monday, and the I start my 2 week liquid preop diet the following Monday. What about you?

I was told to do 2 weeks on Optifast, but I know how hard that is if I go straight into it, so I’m trying to kind of do a lead up and am (mostly) watching what I eat now…husband’s birthday today though so I’m kind of doing that ‘last supper’ thing…and eating too much!
