Hi GiGi, I am so very sorry that you lost your Mother. That in itself is enough to rock anyone to their core. Having gone through that loss myself, I cannot encourage you enough to seek help from a grief counselor. Everything else will fall into place.

I normally have a high pain tolerance but had my bypass on Tuesday and whew…I must have pulled everything and then some. I am unable to sit up without assistance

WooHoo, you can do hard things! I start my liquid preop diet today and have my bypass on 4/5, its all really happening!

Whew....that is a lot and I am so so sorry you are having to deal with this on top of everything else. I do hope you realize that the problem is squarely on their shoulders. Over the past few years I made the decision to not allow people to speak to me this way. You will need to take a stand for yourself and tell this person that their negative comments are no longer welcomed on this subject and unless they have something positive to contribute, they can keep their negativity to themselves. My sister had the sleeve last December and has a laundry list of health issues and did absolutely amazing and continues to do so. Being nervous is normal, these are life changing procedures, but for the good. Sending you love and support.

I too was leaning towards the sleeve but my endoscopy showed that the Bypass would be a far better option. Fingers and toes crossed for you, I would cross my legs but I cant LOL
