HELP! Fort Worth, Texas area

I've been looking for a surgeon who can perform weight loss surgery on me. My problem is that I have a BMI of 30, I have hypothyroidism and keep gaining weight. I'm the heaviest I've ever been. I've tried everything and nothing works. Doctors wont even see me because of my BMI. I'm willing to self pay.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Have you looked into going to Mexico? Laredo or if you want to come out West, Mexicali or Tijuana? It'll be a heckuva lot cheaper to self-pay, too, and the doctors and clinics are reputable.

  • I’m in San Antonio. Try South Texas Surgeons…. I was more than 30 bmi but it cost $9,900 and they sheduled me 2 weeks after initial consultation.

And if you have no luck try to solicit the help of your primary or gynocologist to advocate for you or your doctor for your thyroid maybe.

There’s a place in Las Vegas that does self pay they are around $11,000 more than Mexico but google Mexico because when I did I found a lot of deaths etc. but I personally know someone who went to Mexico and is great so do your research h

I lived in Tijuana. It's not any more dangerous than Los Angeles or New York.

You might check with Dr. Victor Gonzalez in Dallas. (Medical Center Dallas on Forrest) He's who I just used for revision surgery. If it is medically necessary, it just is. He's a good surgeon. I had a sleeve to RNY revision almost two weeks ago.
