Stopping multivitamins one week before VSG ?

Hello ! I am at 8 days before my surgery and I was wondering if any of you were asked to stop their multivitamins 1 week prior to surgery ? My surgeon did not say anything to me but instructed another patient (who is having surgery around the same time) to stop them... any thoughts ?

I was not instructed to do so either. I am curious why though.

I was instructed to not take any vitamins or supplements (I take Omega 3) 1 week before surgery.

Interesting... I really wonder if not instructing me to stop them was an oversight from my surgeon so I am going to call his assistant.
Yes, I was told to stop all vitamins, supplements, NAIDS and birth control.

I wad asked to stop all Vitamins, supplements, ibuprofen a week before surgery.

Same here. Also any natural medicinal teas.

I finally got some insight from my surgeon. He instructed my fellow patient to stop multivitamins because of her risk to develop post-op kidney stones due to vitamin C (she has a long history of kidney stones). He thought I can take mine until the day before the surgery...
