  1. I have an entire bottle of Tylenol 3 that I never opened. I was in hospital about 9 hours and was slowed down but and had some discomforts but never in pain. I am one that usually can't handle pain I may add.
  2. I wad asked to stop all vitamins, supplements, ibuprofen a week before surgery.
  3. I just take a sip of my daughters draginfruit tea. I'm trying to avoid drinking calories as much as possible. There was a thread once before, they order a double shot in venti cup and add a caramel protein shake to it. Interested in any options out there though.
  4. 17 lbs 2 weeks to surgery, 21 lbs since surgery. Best decision I ever made. No regrets so far. Holding off for review of MD until further out.
  5. Most people only write reviews when upset. Rarely do I remember to write a good review, although I'd love to get into the habit of doing so.
  6. Yes I got the sleeve. I didn't have any issues with staff nor the hospital (Altus). In fact Altus is small and. Altered to me well, almost pampered. Staff, including Dr. Yu have been very friendly and to the point. They get down to business, educate you, answer your questions....which is what I wanted (wasn't chatting with friends). For me, I had no issues.
  7. Wow, big difference. Yes call and ask Yovonne if need be. I just called and asked for self pay information and that's what I was told.
  8. Yes TLC, it was 12,900. His fee, all nutrition classes for year, hospital, anesthesia etc. + 200 for psychological exam (virtual).
  9. Hi, Surgery went like a breeze for me. Recovering nicely. I used Dr. Sherman Yu, everything is virtual as far as visits go for now due to covid, met him for the first time before surgery, all visits since have been virtual. I of course recommend him, very friendly and approachable. I was self pay and was fairly quick with process.
  10. Awesome news, glad to hear it! They're beginning the discharges for myself as well. Gas pain was a bit of an issue initially but a few beaches cured that. I've never urinated in my life as I have today. 32 oz gatorade last night, one this morning, then the IV. I'm sending my nurse some flowers.
  11. Awe, heading there now. Butterflies are driving me nuts! ?
  12. Wishing all of you. I hope that we all have successful procedures without issues ?
  13. Thanks guys. MD had some meds sent over to pharmacy.
  14. Hi all, Has anyone else experienced nausea while on liquid diet? I'm on day 12 of my liquid diet and suddenly feel very nauseated. I've been keeping up with my protein shakes, having broths, and SF jello/popcicles and at least 64 oz per day. Also, I've experienced the worst constipation I've ever experienced. I'm going to email my team but wondering if anyone else experienced any of this. Plus side, surgery is Monday! YAY
  15. Glad you're coming along smoothly now. How are you feeling? Hope the lbs come off easy for you!! I'm doing ok, struggling with the clear liquid diet the past few days but surgery is Monday so YAY! Looking forward to yogurt soon!
  16. You're so lucky! I'm ona week 2 of my clear liquid diet. Getting very tired of liquids.. Surgery is scheduled for Monday, will be over soon.
  17. I'm really sorry you experienced this. I'm day on day 6 of two week preop liquid diet and have the worst case of being constipated in my life....exact reason I came here tonight. I'll be calling MD in morning because this is awful.
  18. I'm ready for the 22nd as well here in Houston!
  19. Thank you for sharing. I'll be getting sleeved on the 22nd and love to read people's journey in order to prepare myself. ?
  20. How are you feeling? Hope you're doing well!
  21. Sorry you are feeling bad. I have no experience with this as I haven't had my surgery yet but wishing you all the best.
  22. Hopefully you will! I drastically eliminated so much already the past few weeks as I didn't want to do everything all at once. Miss my cafienated coffee already. My preop is 3/9.
  23. Hey! I got my date set today 03/22. Yours is rolling up quick. Wishing you all the best!
  24. I'm 03/22 as well. Just found out today, don't think it's sunk in yet. However, I've done well this past month cutting sugar, junk, etc from my life. I wish you luck. ?
